Strong Touch Football presence on and off the field at this year’s NRL Grand Final Day

first_imgTouch Football Australia congratulates prominent NRL referee and part-time Touch Football administrator/referee, Shayne Hayne, on his appointment to this weekend’s NRL Grand Final. Hayne is Berkeley Vale Touch Association’s Operations Manager and in between NRL fixtures devotes his time and energies to managing and growing his local Touch Football association and pulls out the Touch Football whistle when time and the opportunity permits. Hayne was awarded the Hunter Western Hornets Regional Administrator of the Year at the 2012 New South Wales Touch Association’s (NSWTA) Blues Dinner and made his New South Wales State Cup debut as a referee alongside son, Keegan at the 2012 event. On the other side of the stripe, there will also be a strong Touch Football presence at the NRL Grand Final on Sunday outside ANZ Stadium, with New South Wales Touch Football representatives conducting a live site for spectators prior to kick-off. Cyclone Fani No flights to and from Kolkata airport between 3 pm

first_imgNew Delhi: No flights will depart or arrive at Kolkata airport from 3 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday in view of the cyclonic storm ‘Fani’, which slammed into the Odisha coast in the morning, Indian aviation regulator DGCA said. On Thursday, the regulator said there would be no flights to and from Kolkata airport between 9.30 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday. A senior government official told PTI that the timings regarding the shutdown of flight operations at Kolkata airport have been revised after observing the progress of Cyclone Fani. In a series of tweets, Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu said Friday that all airlines must immediately respond to the concerns of passengers affected by Cyclone Fani. “We are ready to offer help needed for the stranded due to cyclonic storm Fani. Control room, helplines are manned all times to assist affected passengers. All Airlines must immediately respond to the concerns of passengers,” he tweeted.
